Boycott Byron Hamburgers
On the morning of the 4th of July staff of Byron Hamburgers were asked to attend a staff meeting to learn more on health and safety regulations. This was a lie. Management had 'facilitated' the meeting to allow immigration officials to interrogate the workers. Thirtyfive men and women were arrested and deported with immediate effect for having overstayed their leave to remain in the UK. They were not even allowed to go home and collect their possessions or say good by to their families. Some of the staff had wored for Byron Hamburgers for five years. We should send a strong message to corporations that if they abuse their workforce in this way their will be consequences.
