The Grovetown high school principal, Craig Baker, who has been driving the moral of the students into the ground. He has taken the best parts of high school away. The seniors have so much money in the budget for senior field day, but he keeps denying every idea that the seniors have. The dropout percent has been increasing since he became the principal. I hope the Columbia County school board will take into consideration firing the current principal. He has taken away anything a normal high school student should enjoy. Pep rally turn up rates for seniors decreased severely in this past year. When asked why, they have said answers such as "the pep rallies are too boring now with these new rules" and "they just aren't fun anymore." Craig Baker has ruined the moral of students. It's rare I find someone who genuinely enjoys coming to school anymore. Those who do though only enjoy coming to school because they have bad home lives or they don't live close to their friends so school is the best way of communication. This single man has destroyed school spirit. Even the sports teams have low moral, but they still enjoy playing because they like the sport. Please for the sake of not only the students enjoyment of school, but even the teachers enjoyment. A teacher who used to work at the school quit somewhat recently because he didn't like being a teacher at the Grovetown high school. Student dropout rates will continue to rise during his reign, and we can all agree that America in general needs lower dropout rates. In conclusion, almost any other person would make a better principal. Possibly someone who is on the younger side, this way the students could possibly relate to their principal more than an older person.
