Tell Trudeau to extend Canadian Recovery Benefit and continue to have Canadians' backs!

The Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) is scheduled to end in just a few days. However, hundreds of thousands of Canadians are relying on this assistance to survive.

On October 23rd, CRB, alongside the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB) and the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB) will expire.

If this happens, thousands of vulnerable families will struggle to make ends meet, even those who have been able to go back to work.
Bea Bruske, president of the Canadian Labour Congress, points out CRB is still needed especially for shift and part-time workers. She told CBC News:

"A lot of the folks that are utilizing that benefit right now are folks working in hospitality and accommodations and various different service sector types of jobs. When you are talking about people working in retail, yes, they may be back at work, but if they're working 10 hours a week as compared to 35 hours a week, it's a significant difference in their paycheque."
 
There's something we can do to stop this. All three recovery benefits can be extended until November 20, 2021, by an order of cabinet.

Tell Prime Minister Trudeau to keep the promise he made in this statement from the PMO after the federal election: "One of the immediate areas of focus for the next Parliament will be the COVID-19 support benefits that many Canadians and businesses still rely on, and the government will work collaboratively with other parliamentarians to continue to have Canadians' backs."
