On a Sunday night
in Iowa, several people witnessed a man using a pipe to beat his dog. That was already disturbing enough - but then they heard a gunshot.

someone had shot it right in its head. Unfortunately, the dog wasn't able to live. Its injuries were simply too severe.
Authorities were able to identify the owner, who was also the gunsman and the same man who had been beating the dog earlier. The man even confessed, saying: "he was angry that the dog had bit the other dog and his girlfriend, so he got the gun and shot the dog." He only fired a single bullet, but sadly, that was all it took to kill this animal.
The man has been charged with animal abuse, but authorities need to immediately ensure he does not have access to any other animals.
