People should sign because Galapagos sea lions are getting stuck in huge fishing nets that fishermen use to catch lots of fish. Whenever a fishing net breaks, The fishermen throw the net away into the water. Animals, including Galapagos sea lions could get stuck and eventually drown or starve.

They also get stuck in human rubbish, since they usually go near humans due to their curiosity. They also get stuck on hooks. These animals are endangered it it would be right to help them.
