Petition to Lower Gas Prices

We, the citizens of the United States of America, are tired of the rising gas prices.  It is becoming more difficult to maintain everyday life when the prices we pay at the pump has almost trippled in the past year alone.  We are tired of havng to make a decision as to what to buy at the grocery store to feed our families and buying gasoline for our vehicles.  We are tired of being taken advantage.  We are frustrated that our government has not done anything about it.  We feel no one is fighting for us.  So now it is time to take a stand.  What we want is for the temporary oil reserve to be opened to drive these prices down. This will send a message to foreign oil companies to stop raisng prices as we will not pay for it anymore. If nothing is done and the prices do not come down under $2 a gallon, we the citizens of the United States of America will boycott gasoline for a period of 1 week beginning on June 1, 2011.
