Too many people are taking their lives and the lives of tenants into their own hands by dangerously installing gas appliances without the appropriate skills or training. It's one thing to say a gas safe registered engineer must fit theses appliances, it is another thing when certain DIY outlets and online retailers are allowed to sell theses kind of appliances to the public. It is a ticking time bomb affair and with everyone feeling the pinch and wanting to save money more and more people are taking it upon themselves to illegally work on gas appliances.

Propose that all retailers of any flued gas appliance must only sell these products to Gas safe registered engineers and would require registration numbers as proof.
