A woman in Palm Coast, Florida has
been arrested after authorities found
51 sick, emaciated dogs hoarded in her home. The residence was covered in poop and urine, rotting food, as well as cockroaches and other insects. Even the walls and furniture had been chewed up. It's clear she cannot be trusted to take care of animals ever again.

large chunks of missing fur, mange disease from parasitic mites, flea infestations, horribly overgrown nails, and were on the brink of starvation. Some animals even required surgery to treat their conditions.
When authorities originally arrived, she voluntarily surrendered 48 dogs and did not inform officials that more dogs were still located inside her home. However, when authorities returned with an official warrant to perform a search of the property,
that's when they found three additional dogs - one of whom was a 1-year-old chihuahua who still weighed only 1.5 pounds. After they found the additional dogs, the woman tried to kick the investigators off her property.
Officials later learned that the woman had known the 1-year-old dog was severely ill and malnourished, but she did not seek medical help for him.
There is no reason for this person to be trusted with animals again in the future, no matter what her situation was. Urge Florida officials to keep animals safe by implementing a permanent ban on animal ownership for this woman! Sign the petition.
