Stop Saredon Hill Quarry from destroying our Coutryside

We object to the policy to grant planning permission to extend the Saredon quarry as this will lead to:

1. Industrialisation of the countryside and have an adverse affect on the landscape and character of the area. This is a rural, farming and equine area.
2. Significant visual impact which is unacceptable – this is an open rural landscape and the hill can be seen for miles around.
3. Permanent damage to the landscape which is irreversible
4. An unacceptable increase in traffic and safety issues for vulnerable road users
5. Mud and stones on the road, damage to cars, grass verges, spray onto cars and hedge rows with flying stones flung out over M6 motorway bridge causing potential carnage of a motorway pile up.
6. Negative effect on house prices in the area.
7. Health issues – mental health – stress caused by the volume of traffic with mud when wet and dust when dry, as well as the visual impact
8. Noise (heavy trucks), vibration (battering ram diggers now in use), pollution (pumping quarry slime into Saredon Brook, flooded homes down stream) disturbing horses and wildlife!!
