LAKE LUZERNE, N.Y. -- One person is dead after a bus owned by the Tubby Tubes rafting company overturned in Lake Luzerne. It happened Saturday around 12:30 pm. New York State DOT and State of New York needs to create a NYS Outdoor Rrecreation And Tubing Transportation Safety Act
NYS Outdoor Rrecreation And Tubing Transportation Safety Act should include

NYS Tubing and Rafting Transpiration Safety Act: 


  1. The New York State DOT shall inspect Tubing and Rafting Buses every year.
  2. Drivers for the tubing and rafting buses shall be required to take bus safety course and training and carry CDL
  3. Drivers shall be required to check over the bus before they leave the main office parking lot and before they leave the location where they were tubing.
  4. Business owners must display their business License in their office.
  5. Business owners must display the inspection document of their buses in their offices to show customers when NYS DOT inspected their buses.

 

 

 

NYS Tubing and Rafting Safety Act:


  1. River guides must be 18 years and order and know how to do CPR on person
  2. River guides and business owners must have safety plan in place in case of thunder storm or Emergency
  3. Customers shall not be allowed to carry alcohol while they go tubing or rafting
