The Canadian River Municipal Water Authority has a long history of mismanaging Lake Meredith in the Texas Panhandle.
The petitioners ask the following...
DO NOT PUMP WATER OUT OF THE LAKE BELOW THE 50 FOOT LEVEL.
REPORT SURFACE ACRES OF LAKE IN ADDITION TO DEPTH.
PRESERVE AND CONSERVE IT SO IT CAN BE USED BY OTHERS IN THE FUTURE AS A WATER SUPPLY AND A RECREATION AREA.
It is the petitioners intent to encourage awareness of the fact that CRMWA REMOVED TOO MUCH WATER FROM THE LAKE AND THUS HARMED THE LAKE AND THE COMMUNITY BEYOND MEASURE.
It is well past time to implement forward thinking, responsible policies regarding pumping water out of the lake.

This week a new website...SAVELAKEMEREDITH.COM will be online. We now have over 1000 signatures on our petition to SAVE LAKE MEREDITH. WE THE PEOPLE are what Lake Meredith was constructed for as a water storage and supply. Thankfully, it has become much more than that. It is also a place for families and friends to play, fish and swim, and a place that has generated income for area businesses. A place where memories have and will be made if we can stop them from ruining the lake. Again.
