Stop animal cruelty once and for all

I want to stop all animal cruelty, puppy farming, abuse and anything that can harm an animal both physically and mentally by changing the laws about animal cruelty.

I read stories every day about animals and the pain they suffer. Taking an animals life is unforgivable. If an animal was to take a humans life, they would be euthanised, why not the same when the situation is reversed?

I feel if a person wants an animal there should be a full background check done on the individual before they are allowed to home one. Animals should have the same rights as humans. You wouldn't lock a human in a cage and have various men sleep with it to produce a "litter" so you can make money. The world is a cruel and sick place full of cruel people.
