Demand New York State to Honor Common Law unions

Many women in the US are in common law unions and should be allowed to be protected by the same statutes as a married woman. NY recognizes Common Law unions from other states,but don't honor it in New York.

There are instances where kids are being evicted from the home because both parents were not married and the spouse  that was the home maker is forced out of the home so these inconveniences  pose a hardship on the newly single custodial  parent who has to now figure out how to make it with the severely limited resources  available to them. There should be limitations,especially when there are children  involved.
