There is a community initative to build a 2.5m wide shared pathway from Tuggerawong through Rocky point to Tacoma oval.
These areas are pristine nooks of Tuggerah Lake that is home to many protected birds and wildlife. It has saltmarsh running along the foreshore that has recently been regenerated by landcare due to the lakes already losing 85% of the protected saltmarsh from over development.
The nature strip is used daily by walkers and familes and does not require a cement pathway.

According to Wyong Shire Council

"Wyong Shire has more than 300 kilometres of pedestrian and cycling paths, more than half of which are off-road footpaths, designed mainly for pedestrians. However, there's also more than 105 kilometres of off-road shared pathways, which can be used by both pedestrians and cyclists; and more than 50 kilometres of on-road bicycle lanes on the side of the road and usually marked by painted white lines and bicycle symbols."

Please help us protect this part of Tuggerah Lakes and keep it safe from development.
