True the Vote is an organization that is part of a Tea Party chapter out of Houston, Texas. According to a report from the Rachel Maddow show, the group sends out white representatives to minority districts to intimidate and harass voters and "challenge" their right to participate in the voting process.
The group had its start during the 2010 election, and there were so many reports of intimidation in Houston in 2010 that the Federal Justice Department had to send out observers.
Now, True the Vote is planning on doing this again for the 2012 election.
Please tell True the Vote to stop their scare tactics and racist politics! Voting is a right, and everyone should be able to cast a ballot in the United States of America!
Dear True the Vote,
Please stop sending out white representatives to harass and intimidate minority voters, challenging their "right" to cast a ballot.
This is extremely racist and wrong -- everyone deserves the chance and should have the right to vote in the United States of America free from scare tactics.
