Open new research into treatment and a possible cure for AVN (Avascular Necrosis).

I have a family member suffering from this condition which is bone death caused by lack of circulation. There are around 200,000 cases a year in the United States suffering from this condition and since it is considered rare, most doctors do not know how to treat it. Many people with this condition have ended their own lives from the pain of this. Many Pain management doctors do not take these patients because they are not sure of the condition. So not only is there no cure for this but there is also no temporary relief from the pain which is said to be comparable to late term cancer pain. Currently the fundng isn't there. If our scientists and researchers would be given the funding and tools needed to explore treatments and maybe a possible cure, hundreds of thousands of people may not have to suffer any longer.
