demand in change of work credits to qualify for ssi disability.

I became disabled when i had a stroke that cause me to be unabled to talk and usage of my left arm. When i go to ssi office, they tell me i`m 1 year short on work credits. I paid $33,000.00 and all the places I have worked for paid $33,000.00 into ssi over 31 years. And the reason i could not earn the work credits, is because i was on unemployment, which was in 2009/2010 when the country was in a recession. my solution is, if a person has worked and paid into ssi over at least 20 years, they should qualify for there ssi. thank you, Daniel Williams
