More Recycling days

I'm petitioning for equalizing the number of trash and recycling days. Currently, regular garbage is picked up twice a week and recycling is picked up every other week. I feel that by having regular garbage picked up once a week, and recycling picked up once a week, it will encourage more people to recycle.

The benefits of recycling are numerous. Things are not wasted, and there are smaller landfills, which is better for the earth. People will recycle more when it's picked up more frequently. When the recycling bins are full, and pickup isn't soon, people put recycling in the regular trash. By offering more days to recycle, people will recycle more because it's convenient for them. The cost would pay for itself when the extra trash day is taken away. To avoid traffic and congestion, trash will be picked up at the beginning of the week, and recycling at the end.
