I demand the insurance company recognize Allergy Service Dogs

My name is Kathy Watters I am the owner and head trainer of Nosey Dog-Detection Partners and Nosey Service Dog a non-profit. I train service dogs for people with life threatening allergies.

People contact me daily describing children that can't live a normal life due to their sever illnesses.

The dogs that I have trained for people with these disabilities, have helped to change their lives. Unfortunately, insurance companies currently do not cover the cost for these life savings dogs. It takes approximately one entire year to successfully train one allergy dog. This cost for the average American is prohibitive, leaving access to these highly trained dogs to only the wealthy.

Others have already recognized these highly trained dogs as an asset to the disabled. It is about time the health insurance industry recognize these highly trained dogs as "medical equipment", necessary to combat these auto-immune diseases.
