Demand the "Greasy Pig Contest" at South Mountain Fair be Cancelled!

Every year, the South Mountain Fair hosts a "Greasy Pig Contest", where screaming children are encouraged to chase down pigs in a pen. Terrorizing these animals should not be considered entertainment; it is an archaic practice that should stay in the past!

Pigs are highly intelligent animals with the intelligence of a three to four year old child. Imagine if three to four year old children were in this pen and people chased them down! What fear they would feel. It is no different with pigs.

Sign this petition to show Paul Allan this is not acceptable and should be cancelled from the fair immediately.

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for all your support and kind words. According to a representative from Ottawa Animal Defense League the Greasy Pig Contest has been cancelled at the South Mountain Fair.

I just want to express my deep gratitude to all of you who took the time to sign the petition and make an impact! The animals thank you!
