Congress has no term limits, they are not serving the people they represent! Currently Congress is serving lobby groups that support their campaigns. The citizens of United States deserve better! Congress is not keeping their constituents safe, they are not concerned for their welfare. This is the only job that pays you to shut down, their salaries, healthcare, retirement plans are spectacular while the middle class American suffers in this economy and doesn't have these benefits in their job! They will hold themselves accountable when they know they can't make a career of taking kick backs from lobbyist and big corporations while the American people suffer.
The Framers of the Constitution of this great country wanted to ensure that we have a government without Tyranny, when government doesn't serve the people then that government is tyrannical. They looked to enlighten philosophers to create the Constitution of the US like John Locke. The power of the legislative, being derived from the people by a positive voluntary grant and institution, can be no other than what that positive grant conveyed, which being only to make laws, and not to make legislators, the legislative can have no power to transfer their authority of making laws, and place it in other hands.
