Children should stay fit through exercise and wholesome eating habits, not by drinking unnatural diet beverages. The long-term effects of aspartame are still uncertain, but it has been linked to cancer and diseases in rats, as well as neurological problems and retardation in babies whose mothers consumed aspartame during pregnancy.
