According to the Midwives College of Utah, students were complaining about the lack of interaction between students and teachers as well as wanting more "live" teaching opportunities from the teachers.
We the students are finding this added requirement, especially the bulletin boards, to be added workload and unattainable.
Also these participation requirements, PRIOR to being implemented, were described as a task that would take the place of other assignments and items we could complete on our own timeline. Yet many of the bulletin board posts have time limits and require responses to other students, which in turn has students relying on others to complete their part in order to complete their own. That means multiple checks on the boards which takes time away from our already busy schedules.
We the students find these requirements too much to bear with being an active student, our family life, clinical requirements as well as all the paperwork involved in all of that. We request that these participation requirements be recinded immediately or have it as an optional for those that want it or need extra credit.
