Protest Car Companies Promoting Speed

For far too long, people have been seeing cars as a source of status, the faster the car - the more cool you are. And, considering that it's the younger generation who are purchasing today's cars, the car companies are catering more and more to this same ideal. The problem with this is of course that people emulate what they see in the car ads - hence, speed kills and it's day to day toll is mounting - with street racing, people running red lights and needless fatalities. The only way this is ever going to change is consumer awareness and a responsibility by the car companies for change - they must start taking responsibility for their ads, only then will we start making a dent in the problem.
