Hurricane Idalia Blew Flamingos All Across the U.S. We Must Ensure They Get Back to Their Habitats Safely!

Recently, flamingos have been found hundreds of miles away from their native habitats, even as far north as Virginia and Ohio! Scientists speculate that Hurricane Idalia caused them to fly off course, sometime when the birds were traveling between Central America and the Caribbean. Thankfully, the birds have been found in reasonable health so far, but they are clearly exhausted from the extended travel.

While most of the birds seem to be fine, they are still at risk in non-native habitats. We must ensure these majestic tropical animals get back home safely!

Sign now to tell the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to monitor these flamingos to ensure they safely return to their habitats!

Even though flamingos are not migratory animals, they are still able to fly long distances, which may have explained how they ended up so far away. They are impressive birds, and they deserve to be back in the comfort of their native habitats!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service must keep track of these beautiful animals and ensure their safe return home! Sign this petition to make sure this happens!
