Stop The Trump Administration's Attack On State Clean Car Standards

The Trump administration has announced yet another attack on the air our children breathe and their right to a healthy future. They're limiting states' ability to implement their own car pollution standards — that are often stronger than those proposed at the federal level.

The good news is, Attorneys General from 23 states have filed a lawsuit to demand a stop to this attack. The bad news is, your Attorney General hasn't joined the fight.

Make sure your Attorney General knows that moms expect them to do everything they can to protect our children from this dangerous threat to their health and future.
Subject: Parents oppose your failure to protect clean car standards

Dear [Your Attorney General],

I'm writing to you today as a concerned parent disappointed that you have not joined 23 other state AGs to stop the Trump administration's attack on state clean car standards.

Pollution from the transportation sector is one of the largest contributors to climate change. States should have the right to exercise long-standing authority to demand more protective pollution standards than those set by the federal government. We can't afford to move backwards on climate action when our children's future is at stake.

It's up to all of us to ensure that all children have access to clean air and a safe future.

As a parent, I am encouraged that 23 states, the District of Columbia, and the cities of Los Angeles and New York are stepping up to show that they care about the health and future of our children. And I am disappointed that so many other states, including my own, have not joined this important action.

Sincerely,
