Please prosecute Michelle M. Murray to the fullest extent of the law
Pet "rescuer" charged with abandoning 33 kittens in two separate Lake County Metroparks.
Michelle M. Murray of Painesville, OH has admitted to being the only one involved in dumping 33 kittens in the Lake County MetroParks the week of September 19, 2005. When Park Rangers found the kittens later in the week they were ill and starving. In the process of trying to rescue them one was run over by a car. Several kittens died or had to be put to sleep due to their illnesses and the shape they were in.
Not only did Michelle Murray take these kittens to the park with the intention of abandoning them, but she has stated she "made two trips" to do it. When first questioned she denied allegations for over a week. This only shows how callous and uncaring an individual Michelle Murray is.
Michelle M. Murray ran and operated Murray's Rescue in the basement of her home. She took in cats and kittens that many people were no longer able to keep. She promised to fully care for these animals and ultimately to find them loving forever homes. She failed to do this and instead caused the death of nearly 1/3 of the kittens dumped that were entrusted to her care. We petition Painesville Municipal Court to prosecute Michelle M. Murray to the fullest extent of the law for her crimes against these animals who were relying on her to see to their best interests.
