Improve Thompson Park (Cobb County, GA)
This petition is from concerned area citizens who desire to see Thompson Park in Cobb County, GA made safer, improved and upgraded.
Dear Cobb County Commissioners:
It is time Thompson Park was cleaned up and upgraded to represent the quality homes and communities that are near it (Vinings Estates, Lakeview At Vinings, The Manor At Vinings, etc.).
The following area homeowners have signed this petition to signify their desire to see improvements made in short order. We desire:
- All building façades and exteriors redone similar to Heritage Park
- Upgrade park lighting fixtures/street lamps and bury all above ground wiring
- Add curbs and sidewalks
- Relocate the park entrance sign to the entrance closer to Cooper Lake Road
- Close the park loop road to discourage teenage drive throughs and disturbances
- Redo the existing path network (entrance near the play area) so that it provides easy access to Heritage Park which connects to the Silver Comet Trail
- Repave all road surfaces
- Upgrade all park landscaping and improve the view of the lake
We reside in the area of the Nickajack Community Coalition and we vote ! Your attention to this matter is most appreciated.
