Close the Whaling Loophole!
For decades Japan, Norway and Iceland have openly killed whales with explosive harpoons for profit and trade -- killing hundreds of whales each year. Japan goes so far as to hunt in waters designated as a whale sanctuary.
Even though a proposal to legalize whaling was shut down earlier this summer, whales will continue to be killed until these loopholes are closed.
Let's put an end to whaling once and for all! Take action to close the loopholes and put an end to all whale hunts.
The ban on whaling is one major step in protecting the whales of the world. However, Japan, Norway and Iceland continue to hunt whales despite this ban.
Sadly, it seems these countries will continue to hunt countless whales each year if stricter laws are not enforced immediately.
