The Oregon Army Corp of Engineering wants to go ahead even with the signatures of many who disagree

Because fisherman and ODFW (Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife), want to destroy these birds for doing what comes naturally which is to eat fish. They want all of the salmon for their own personal fishing. “This plan will result in the deaths of thousands of birds, place western populations of Double-crested Cormorants in jeopardy, but do little or nothing to recover threatened salmon populations.”
