Fox News is known for its brazen, far-right commentary on social issues. But recently, Brian Kilmeade shocked viewers across the country when he claimed – live on air – that to deal with the unhoused problem, authorities should "just kill 'em."
On the opposite end of the spectrum, other journalists, such as Karen Attiah, have been fired for simply accurately reporting on Charlie Kirk's own spoken words. Why the double standard? This man literally called for killing homeless people live on air. What were the consequences? He only had to give a half-hearted apology, and now he gets to keep his platform.

When discussing the problem of homelessness in a Fox & Friends segment, Kilmeade's co-host, Lawrence Jones, set the tone for the conversation by arguing that you "can't give [homeless people] a choice." She implied that we should put homeless folks in jail en masse, as if people without homes aren't already criminalized and regularly incarcerated. Then, Kilmeade responded with the even more shocking statement that authorities should consider other, more brutal options. Specifically, Kilmeade said: "Or involuntary lethal injection or something."
Other journalists have been silenced for far less. It's time men like Brian Kilmeade are held accountable.
