Tokio Hotel is a very successful straight out of Magdeburg, Germany. starting at only the age of seven, twin brothers tom, guitarist and bill kaulitz, born in Leipzig, Germany, starting writing their own music and performing in small clubs and businesses. In 2001, the two came across Georg Listing, bassist and Gustav Schafer, drummer at a concert in Magdeburg. The four boys then created a band called devilish. little did they know within a few years they'd be the biggest band to come out of Germany in over 20 years. At the age of 13, Bill Kaulitz auditioned and got into Star Search, kind of like the american version of american idol. This put him and the band in the spotlight and producers took interest in them, bill made it to the final quarter, but sadly lost. Producer, peter Hoffman, signed the band and thus their name became Tokio Hotel, in 2005, the boys hit number one in germany at the ages of 15-17 with the song "Durch Den Monsun" (through the monsoon) which released August 15, 2005 and hit number one on bill boards by august 26, 2005. They released their first album "Schrei" and sold over 200,000 copies. On January 26, 2007 their second album "zimmer 483" was released. Thus, the band went on the "1,000 hotels tour" in 2008. In 2008, tokio hotel released their first US album titled "Scream" May 6, 2008, making their first US television appearance the same day on TRL. During the summer the band took a US tour visiting some of the big cities and performing on radio stations. After months of being in the studio and being interviewed and performing throughout Europe, Tokio Hotel released their fourth album, "Humanoid", October 6, 2009. So far the album has been a big success in europe and the United States and according to bill "The album in more personal" and "we are returning to the very beginning, to what we did first." The"welcome to humanoid city tour" kicked off February 22, 2010. According to Bill in an interview that I found that was added in July 2010, said that the band plans to play an American Tour this year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmlpfl8gJHk, theres the video. So far Asia is first and they finally got to go to Toyko, Japan. Why is this very important to me and everyone else who is a fan? Tokio Hotel to us is more than a band, there music can connect to anyone from a teenager to an adult. many of us love the band dearly, and want the fair chance of seeing them in person. So please sign the petition even if you don't listen to the band, we need this opportunity, tell your friends and give out the links. Our petition is available on Facebook. We need 5,000 signatures.
