Hello, my name is. . . Well, what is in a name? My story is not unique, as I continue to meet many faceless names, after RAINN instructed their Speakers to create a My Space page to raise awareness. I feel the pain/shame/self blame of every woman who has experienced abuse, especially those connected to Law Enforcement. So I ask you; What is in a name?
December 18, 2005 the US Congress, under the Violence Against Women Act, allocated $180 Million for the CRYSTAL JUDSON [Brame] PD DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROTOCOL PROGRAM; money untouched, to teach Law Enforcement how to deal with Domestic Violence when it has to do with their employees.
06/23/07 they found Jessie Davis in a shallow grave in which the father of her unborn child and 2 year old son, lead authorities to. He is in Law Enforcement. Was Jessie just a name?
During my trials there is 1 thing I have always asked God, to make sure what I am going through, will be worth it. Has it all been worth it? Or am I just a name?
Her name was Crystal Judson and mine is Maria DiGiovanni. . . and we are connected by a [Name] and a story that was the same. My voice made it through, hers was silenced, and it is because of this. . . I speak up FoRe! her and ALL those who can't. Because it is ALL in a [Name]!
So now I ask you . . . What is being done about the countless names that have been silenced, and, what is being done about the CRYSTAL JUDSON [Brame] PD DV PROTOCOL PROGRAM in our communities, our State, and our Country?
