We the undersigned commend your decision to change the Australian Labour Party's stance on same sex marriage. We believe that a conscience vote is a step up from your party's former policy. However, we don't feel that it is enough.

The Australian people have made it clear that they want marriage equality. We have fought for, and achieved, civil unions in several states and we will not be satisfied until there is full marriage equality in Australia.

Please consider making same-sex marriage an official part of your party's platform, rather than allowing a conscience vote. The Australian people want change, and we want it now.
