Eagle Nesting Area Unfit for Wind Farm!

There is renewed debate over whether a Wind Farm should be created in Goodhue County. AWA Goodhue Wind, the project developer, says that they are moving forward with their plans but residents are hotly contesting with new claims that it would disrupt eagle nesting in the area.
The 50-turbine wind farm is being constructed in an 12,000 acre area which is home to protected species such as Bald and Golden Eagles, as well as other protected birds and bats.
Recently, residents have put forth evidence showing that there are many nests for eagles - protected by federal law - in the Wind Farm construction zone. This is also an area often occupied by migrating eagles.
Clean energy can be greatly beneficial to our eco-system but not at the cost of our wildlife. Please tell the Minneapolis PUC and the US Fish and Wildlife Service (which is monitoring the project) that until we know for certain that this farm will not endanger the rare birds and wildlife in the proximity, it is vital that we halt the project.
We the undersigned are writing to ask that you urgently halt the Goodhue Wind Farm plan until we are certain that it will not bring harm to local wildlife. Bald eagles are a keystone species in the US and they should not be knowingly put in jeopardy - even for a wind farm.
Residents have put forth evidence showing that there are many nests for eagles - protected by federal law - in the Wind Farm construction zone. This is also an area often occupied by migrating eagles. Other rare birds and bats occupy the area and will also be put in harm's way.
Clean energy can be greatly beneficial to our eco-system but not at the cost of our wildlife. Please halt the wind farm construction until we are sure it will be of no detriment to local wildlife. We must find a pragmatic solution that will benefit both the environment and its wildlife for the long-term.
