Millions of cats are born every year and despite them starving to death, contracting horrible diseases, being murdered by cruel people and slaughtered by the thousands in china, the population continues to grow. The only way to control this is to have cats spayed before they reproduce more kittens to be dumped and end up in shelters. 80% of animals put to death in shelters are cats, only 20% are dogs. A molly (Female cat) Can have 6 litters of up to 8 kittens every year, and statistically half of them will be female. Assuming these statistics, 1 Molly can be responsible for 16 million offspring in 6 years. Every unfixed cat can have devastating consequences. The reality is there are still many cultures that are superstitous of cats, most people prefer dogs. There are 12 people for every cat in in the world. That means that if only 1 out of every 12 people gave a cat a good home and had that cat neutered with the exception of a few licenced breeders, there would be no stray cats suffering on the streets.
