Lower animal adoption fee's!!

There are way too many animals being put to sleep when there are MANY people that are willing to adopt them and give them a home.  In todays economy people cannot afford to shell out hundreds of dollars in adoption fee's, but that does not mean that they cannot feed,shelter and love them. There are many familys that are struggling to feed and shelter there children, But do we kill them in there best interest?? NO I think not.  why not give these animals a chance? Afterall isnt that what adoption is all about? We would rather kill an animal if we cant make a profit?
