Public option, or we'll opt you out!
Young Americans desperately need healthcare reform. The Kaiser Family Foundation estimates that over 30% of Americans ages 19-24 are uninsured- the highest of any age group. We voted 2-1 for Democratic candidates in 2008 because we believe they have our best interests at heart. Yet some of our elected officials are standing up for insurance companies instead of our right to choose a public healthcare option.
We want Congress to hear us loud and clear: we will vote, volunteer, and work only for candidates who vote for real healthcare reform with a public option. If you don't vote for our health, we will elect a candidate next election- primary or general- who does.
