Save Maui Dolphins from Extinction

There are only 100 or so Maui dolphins left in the world. We must do all we can to increase our planet's biodiversity, not allow it to decrease. Fishing practices must be changed to allow the dolphins to survive. With animals all over facing massive changes due to climate change we need to do all we can to protect all species, and especially those who are facing extinction. With only 25 breeding age females, there's not much hope for Mauis if we do nothing.

We the undersigned  call on you John Key to act quickly to prevent the extinction of Maui dolphins. A major threat to their very low numbers is set net fishing. We urge you to make the use of these nets in a 12km range of the coast of New Zealand illegal. We urge you to work with the Department of Conservation to ensure that the government is doing all it can to minimise pollution in the coastal waters and whichever other threats the dolphins face that humans can have an effect on.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you will do all in your power to help save the Maui Dolphins, who will otherwise go the way of the Moa.
