Tell Kashmir to Provide Help for Female Drug Addicts

In India's northern Kashmir state, girls and young women are increasingly becoming addicted to toluene, a chemical commonly found in household items. Girls as young as 13 have become addicted to huffing the drug, but de-addiction centers in Kashmir don't admit female drug addicts.

Though female addicts seek help at the centers and may be prescribed medication to help overcome their addictions, they are not able to be kept under medical supervision, which is critical for recovery.

Help stop an epidemic that's tearing apart families and forcing women to deal with their addictions in isolation. Act now to tell the Kashmir legislature to open de-addiction centers devoted to treating women.
We the undersigned urge you to open de-addiction centers devoted to treating women.

We call on you to help stop an epidemic that is tearing apart families and forcing women to deal with their addictions in isolation. We ask you to open de-addiction centers for women in Kashmir.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
