Urge Governor to Release $ Approved for WCCHC!

In 2007, the HI State Legislature approved $1m for Wai`anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center's (WCCHC) capital improvement plans.  To date, the money has still not been released to the Health Center. 

The $1m represents critical matching funds that would allow the Health Center to proceed with its $10m capital improvement projects to upgrade and expand adult medicine and emergency medical services.  While the Health Center understands the difficult economy the state is experiencing, they also believe that improvements to their 30 year old medical buildings will foster economic growth and enhance health care services in the community. 

Governor Linda Lingle stated that she would not be releasing the approved funding.  If the Governor does not release the money by June 30, 2010, the money will no longer be available.  Your support is needed now to urge the Governor to release these funds before the 6/30/10 deadline!
