We Want P.S.69x to b a Pre-k to 8th grade School

Two years ago we reached out to Holy Cross when we learned that there was a space available and the possibility of leasing was discussed.  The space discussed is located at the corner of Soundview and Randall Avenue.  It had been used as the Holy Cross Friary.  We were asking for the space with the intention of extending PS69x into a Middle School.  Here we are two years later and we are learning there has been a discussion of the possibility of leasing the space for the use of alleviating an overflown of students for another school.  It makes absolutely no sense due to the simple fact that the available space in questions sits between buildings that we are already using.  It would make more sense to make an extension of our school and allow our children to continue to grow in their own community with the people and educators that have assisted in their education thus far.  We are asking for PS69x to be granted a Middle School and become PS/MS 069x for the children of the Soundview Community.
