On mothers day May 13,2007. I woke up that morning with contractions around noon my mucus plug had came out. I drove myself to St.Mary's Hospital womens pavilion 900 E.Oak Hill ave Knoxville,TN,37917.(Mercy Health Systems).  I was 40 weeks pregnant. The nurse said I was not in labor and sent me home. I got home my contractions was so bad I couldnt walk or talk my son called 911 for me, 6 hours later after I was sent home from the hospital I had dilated 10 centermeters. I beg the doctors for the epidural and pain killer. They refuse to give me anything for pain. The doctor who does the epidural came in the labor room when he notice that I was black he left!!
I had my son vaginal with no medicine. I felt helpless and treated unfairly most of all the worst hospital treatment. My discharge nurses Beth B.Murphy RN.was very rude and short towards me whenever I had a concern. I ask her when will my son will be circumcise? she said they no longer do circumcision which was a lie. I had to take my son to Children Hospital for his circumcision. The doctors appointment was almost a month after my son Rain was born. My newborn baby boy suffer severe pain and infection, because St.Mary Hospital refuse to circumcise my son before we left the hospital.
Most hospitals after you have a baby when leaving the hospital they will wheel chair you to your car. The discharge nurse made me walk my self out with my newborn baby. My 3 day stay at St.Mary Hospital was a nightmare for my baby and me.
