Air quality reports have been collected at Amy Belle school since the beginning of the 2019/2020 school year. Some of the reports gathered have been concerning especially in rooms 115 and 121. There has been minimal to no information available to parents/staff during the past four months of testing. Parents received an email with attached images of the testing results. This email was vague in regards to remedies to the affected areas and more importantly, are the students/staff in the affected classrooms at risk for any health problems due to the poor air quality, and the length of time they spend in the classroom. When 'dangerous' levels were recorded, did the kids move out of the classroom until it was resolved? These are unanswered questions that should have been brought to our attention on an ongoing basis throughout testing. We also demand additional action to be taken beyond asking parents to turn off cars in the parent pick up line. Please consider signing the petition to demand clear, timely communication in regards to Amy Belle's air quality problem. Also, please consider signing the petition to support staff when they raise concerns over air quality. Right now they don't want to speak up for fear of retaliation.
