Save Rona and Doublee the Black Labradors

Doublee is a elderly friendly family Labrador who happens to live in a castle which holds wedding receptions. Being a friendly, greedy, lovely Labrador he jumped up to see what goodies a waiter was carrying and accidentally head butted him on the nose!

Not a serious issue you would think but the police want him destroyed, together with his mate Rona who nipped a postman.

These dogs have literally met tens of thousands of people because of the wedding venue and there have been no other problems.

These dogs are neither out of control nor wild as some newspapers would claim. Just friendly and boisterous. There is absolutely no aggression and accidents do happen to people as well as animals.

Sign the petition to demand these dogs are saved!

The dangerous dogs act is well intentioned but not fit for purpose.  Anybody can make a claim with the police about any dog, Without verification of the facts if there are no witnesses.

Make it compulsory  that the police cannot take action against a dog, or its owner, without independent assessment by a dog psychologist.

UPDATE

Court hearing tomorrow 11th June to decide the dogs fate.

Looks like the police are getting cold feet! the case has been postponed until Tuesday 3rd July , due to Police prosecution woman could not attend court as her child was sick....3rd time this case has been delayed.
The police moan about funding and yet they waste money like this. It would not be so bad if it was not for the fact that crime is rising and people like the owners of these poor dogs have to spend huge amounts of money fighting ridiculous cases like this.
