Health Care for our Pets

It's difficult enough to feed our pets, but what about providing them with the necessary preventitve shots and exams.  Health Care for out pets is being denied by owners by no fault of their own.  Pet lovers want whats best for their loved ones, but in this economy, the forclosures and job losses, it is difficult enough to feed them.  Everyday out loved ones are being dropped off to shelters, knowing that they will not be adopted.  A simple preventive measure to assure the health of our pets is necessary and needed NOW!  Heartworm, among others, is a very simply preventitve and all too common occurance.  If we can't afford the preventitve meds, then how in the world do we pay for the possably deadly treatment?  Let's add in here, state wide spay and neuter...less heartbreak, if it were affordable to the middle class and the middle becomming lower class like so many of us.
