Tell Representatives to pass the Green New Deal and provide a better future for all

Climate change has reached a terrifying point. It has already begun to make natural disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, droughts, and heat waves more frequent and dangerous, and may soon lead to sea level rise. It has great potential to take our homes and damage our lives and livelihoods, and yet our government has still not taken any action on it. Congress must do something to protect us from the coming storm—and soon.

The Green New Deal, introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex (NY-14), would be a huge first step in the right direction. If passed, it promises to shift our economy away from climate-change-causing fossil fuels and create millions of good, high-paying jobs in the process. It would also provide support for the communities that are about to be hit the hardest by climate change, and would lead to better lives for all.

There has been little movement in the House of Representatives to pass this resolution. The longer our government waits, the worse the effects will be on us. Sign this petition to tell our representatives that they need to take action on this resolution immediately, for all of our futures.
