High speed internet is becoming a necessity in today's world, and drives progress and education, two things very important in rural communities.
Many people in rural Oklahoma have already benefited from Windstream's access to high speed internet, but many of us are still left in the dark. Those of us who are lucky enough to receive AT&T U-verse service are stuck with high fees and low speeds. The rest of us have to pay ridiculous fees for metered service and false pretenses.
My intention is to work locally as much as possible, first, and then spread this farther outwards in Oklahoma and then eventually nationwide.
There are so many benefits that come from high speed internet access, but connectivity with the rest of the world and education are the top two that come to mind.
High speed internet also boosts the economy by helping local businesses and can even help farmers manage their crops and sales more effectively.
