Discovery has confirmed that the television series, Brewmasters will be cancelled. Andy Crouch of beerscribe.com reported via twitter the official Discovery comment.
"BrewMasters was launched with a lot of marketing support and garnered widespread media coverage but unfortunately the series did not find a large enough audience so it was not renewed."
I am amazed that with the amount of homebrewers and craft beer lovers out there that the show didnt pull atleast even ratings with Man vs. Wild. Had Sam only drank his own pee or even better yet, survived a direct hit with a rouge wave at sea while hop fishing, the show may have survived.
Rumors are flying that big beer squashed the show. InBev cannot be blamed for everything. Did our beer community let this show down? My poll/survey is to be presented to The Discovery Channel to at minimum air the episodes with the creation of Eataly. The series can move on to hundreds of breweries across the US that are trying to increase awareness and create jobs. There is no shortage of "characters" in the brewing world. Vote for Sam and vote for the craft beer revolution.
