WHY DO THE CHILDREN HAVE TO SUFFER?

What is trumps reason for prolonging the detainment of immigrant children? What type of conditions are those children living in? Why should they have to suffer to be free yet we have no idea how terrified they are? They are blameless and helpless. Do they have to endure such atrocities because they're parents didn't come here lawfully? Why do they have to suffer because their parents were seeking asylum? It isn't strange to america as to the real reasons why we have detained these children? Doesn't this raise a red flag regarding Child sex exploitation and trafficking to anyone?
